a story of multiple perspective

Disclaimer: Strictly for patent engineers, others don't even try...
My job is all abt having a different perspective- Applicant's perspective, Examiner's perspective n a zillion other perspective... but everyone forgets that even i have a perspective n in my perspective im right (maybe not always but yeah most of the tym). This is an incident that happened a few days back, when i was trying to teach mom abt how to view life in different perspective.

Me and mom were watching a soap opera Bidai (mind u, i dont watch all these serials, but being a good child i was tryin to spend some quality tym with mom :P)
A little background abt this serial, as i dont expect that most of u must've seen it. This serial is abt a high class fair boy falling in love with a middle class dark complexioned girl. Only the guy's mom has a problem and since the guy's mom is not agreeing, because of that even the girl's parent's do not agree for this relationship. (crap!! if u luv her so much just runaway with her) .
Now, back to the situation.
Me: Ma have u ever imagined yourself in the boy's mother's shoes or better the girl's shoes.
Mom: No, i have never done that.
Me: Ma at least try to.
Mom: Don't lay a foundation for yourself, I know where this conversation is heading. (My mom believes that love marriages never work out and there is no such thing as love)
Me: Mom but u shud have multiple perspectives in life.

After all I am a patent engg i have to apply my learnings somewhere, if not at my job.

Seeing is Believing

What is it that successful people do differently in life that they become so successful.
24th Jan was a perfectly normal day, it was Mom's bday and like every year we went to a 5 star hotel. This time it was "Mauyra Sheraton". The reason why this one was chosen was because Bill Clinton had stayed here and loved the food of Bukhara- the indian restaurant. So, how could we not go there- if Bill Clinton has gone there, we have to go there!! Wen we reached the splendid hotel, we saw security everywhere. "Oh! maybe some big personality is staying here." We entered the hotel. "Can u see any sign of recession? No way!!" It was full of people, apparently there was a party going on in which all the richi rich had come. We as always were oblivious to this fact and headed towards "The Bukhara" for dinner. The food i must say wasn't that great n the ambience was okay, again not that great. In all a mediocre experience. So, we finally payed the bill and came out. We were standing near the entrance and saw someone coming inside. "OMG! he is LN Mittal." Gosh! he is a perfectly normal person, no security around him, no aura, just as tall as i am, just as simply dressed as Dad, he is nothin different from u n me but still he is LN MITTAL, the steel tycoon. Wat is it that makes these people so different from us?? After all, they are humans too, and we share the same earth and the same sky; but still they are so different frm us. Why?

THEORY OF THE SHATTERED GLASS

This is an interesting incident that happened a few days back.

I entered the office as usual humming to my own tunes, lost in my own world and then i suddenly stop. Nice design!!! Wen did he get this done, maybe last evening.( My bosses cabin has a glass window, which was apparently broken. But the design was so pretty, it was uniformly distributed from top to bottom) Then i realized "OMG!! It's broken." All the nuerons in my brain started working and finally by i came up with these conclusions:
1. First possible reason was -someone was playing cricket in the corridor and the ball hit the glass. ( ppl in my team love playin cricket esp in the corridor)
2. The maintainence guys broke it. Some big instrument hit the window and it cracked.
3. There was a difference in temperture inside the room and outside the room and the glass cracked under the influence of the difference in temperature. (here i shud tell u that wen the glass broke it had an epicenter on the top left corner of the glass and the glass had cracked evenly from top to bottom, forming a design similar to one seen wen a car's windshield cars but covering the whole glass window). Now, my theory was that this epicenter was the weakest point in the window, i.e. at this point there was a bubble or the glass sturcture was uneven here. Since, it was the weakest point, it cracked first due to the difference in temp. and since, the glass has been designed such that it doesnt crumble wen it is broken at a single point, it got shattered all over.
4. This is my fav one- My bosses angry vibes were inside the room and they just wanted to come out, there was no other way, so the glass broke and his angry vibes were free...
5. This ones creepy- There was a soul trapped inside the room which wanted to come out. It found the weakest point and came out of the room, only to haunt the rest of the floor!!!

My boss didn't agree with the 3rd one, even though our discussion went on for half an hour, then finally i gave in... after all he's my boss. And dont worry i never told him abt the 4th and the 5th one, and it wud be good for me if he doesnt get to kno abt those also..;)
